- Professional and Thorough Workmanship (Mixed Reviews): Some customers praise their work as "excellent job, very professional" and "thorough," particularly for specific tasks like boiler tune-ups and resolving plumbing connection issues. However, other feedback indicates concerns about inconsistencies in completing work to satisfaction and leaving damages unrepaired on larger projects.
- Communication and Scheduling Issues (Negative Highlight): A notable area of concern for some customers relates to scheduling and communication. Instances of missed appointments, lack of follow-up calls, and technicians arriving unannounced or at inconvenient times have been reported. One review explicitly mentions being "shocked" by an unexpected high charge and the lack of an invoice or estimate.
- Pricing and Transparency (Negative Highlight): While some past reviews mention "fair prices," recent feedback raises significant concerns about price increases and a lack of transparency regarding costs and estimates before work is performed. One customer noted an "extra $500 for a job my husband could have done in 30 minutes" without an invoice or estimate.
- Response to Customer Feedback: Online responses to negative reviews sometimes indicate a contentious interaction, with the company stating, "The truth would go a long way lying about your experience is morally wrong!!!!" This suggests a firm stance from the company in disputing unfavorable accounts.
These features present a complex picture, indicating a company with broad capabilities and a long history, but also with areas that have drawn significant criticism from some recent customers regarding service consistency, communication, and billing practices.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Franco Belli & Sons have worked on the plumbing in our building for 10 years and we are satisfied with their work. Sadly, we will not be using their services after this last experience in October. My husband made an appointment for a certain date in October to check the boiler before we turned it on for the season. When a plumber hadn’t shown up by 1pm for a morning appointment, I called the office, only to be told that the employee hadn’t shown up for work. I was then contacted by another plumber who said he would try to get over to our house that afternoon; he later said that he was stuck on his current job and wouldn’t make it that afternoon. A different plumber called the next day 15 minutes before I had to leave for an appointment, but, luckily, my husband was home to take over. The plumber tuned up the boiler and then said that he wasn't happy with the state of the mortar around the flue. Unasked, he left and returned with a bucket of mortar to touch up the questionable areas. We were shocked to find a charge of $1058.06 on our credit card for the same service that cost us $500.08 the year before. An extra $500 for a job my husband could have done in 30 minutes? We don't know because they didn't bother with an invoice or even an estimate. When my husband called the office to question the bill, he was brushed off with the statement that they raised their rates earlier this year and the plumber was there for a long time. After that experience, we are looking for a new plumbing company. The guys on the job still do nice work but we don't wish to pay through the nose when we aren't even sure someone will show up as scheduled nor how much a job might cost.
Dec 18, 2024 · Adele ReckliesExcellent job, very professional, will definitely work with them again. We had a plumbing connection issue with our fridge and a hose valve issue….they were extremely helpful and did an overall thorough job.
May 02, 2025 · Tarik TurnerThis company has been my go to spot for 25+ years. Work performed is second to none. From residential to high end commercial. Every job completed by this company is backed by the Belli name. They stand by their work. They are honest and fair. What more can a consumer ask for?
May 05, 2024 · Joseph OrlandoI would highly discourage using this plumber, they sent a high quote, charged a deposit, sent two plumbers who were not able to do the work and then claimed I owed them additional money (when I did not). I ultimately had to hire a different plumber who was able to complete the work within an hour....pretty terrible experience.
Apr 01, 2025 · Nina MullenMy wife and I hired this plumber and they spent a total of 3 hours at our house, did not fix what they said they would, and then tried to charge us over $2k for only 3 hours of work--we tried to fight them on that and they threatened and harassed us. horrible experience.
