★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Posting email sent to Alex. This happened last year. Thousands of dollars down the drain. Still pissed. Just now getting around to leaving a review since life slowed down.If you don’t feel like reading the pictures speak for themselves.“Hello Alex/Marylandworx,Unfortunately there are many issues with the tub installation. I did a thorough check of your installation and had a professional plumber come to my house to confirm all of the errors. They are as follows:The new tub is leaking due to the poor installation. The rubber washer in the drain/drain stop is in the incorrect place. The PVC 90 (Shoe) should have a washer connected and there’s not. This is causing the leak. I believe it is a standard precaution for all plumbers to fill the new tub with water and close the drain to see if the tub leaks. I did not see you do that so I did it myself, which is how I discovered the leak. You mentioned how the tub couldn’t be leveled. The plumber said it should have definitely been leveled and there’s no way someone should have completed an installation with a tub so uneven. The old tub was level so I’m unsure why the new one couldn’t be. You mentioned the ground not being level so that’s why the tub couldn’t be level. That doesn’t make sense, that is the entire reason you would level the tub in the first place. There are multiple ways you could have leveled the tub but you chose not to. When a bubble level is sat on the tub the bubble goes all the way to one side, far from even being near the middle of the level. I can feel the obvious misalignment when I stand in the tub. Visually, it is very apparent the tub is leaning way too much. This is very dangerous. An uneven wet tub is an easy way to cause serious injury. You installed the valve handle in the incorrect position. It should be pointed downward when in the “off” position, instead it is pointed up. When I turn the handle to the red marking, cold water comes out and when I turn it to the blue marking, hot water comes out.The faucet and valve handle are very misaligned. They should be centered with the overflow drain but are not. The faucet is even rotated along with being misaligned. The tub/shower valve should have been secured to the wood as well. The incorrect screws were used to secure the tub onto the wall. Roofing nails should have been used to pierce the tub flange since they don’t rust and sit more flush with the flange, allowing the new tiles to sit flush once installed.I will be including images and video of all this in another email by tonight or tomorrow. There wasn’t even an attempt by you to find the main water valve which was located in a very common location for main water valves- In the basement near the water heater. There was a label on it as well that said “main water valve”. I’m not a plumber, I shouldn’t have to find the main water valve for you and turn it off myself.I took a lot of time off from work and school in order to get this new tub installed. Now everything is going to have to be taken out and installed correctly. This means I’ll have to take even more time away from work and studies along with thousands of more dollars spent. If bathtub installation was not within your professional capabilities, you should have been honest and upfront about that from the initial assessment and phone call. This is unprofessional and a waste of our time. If there was one mistake with the installation I would have you come back to correct it but due to so many mistakes, I cannot trust that these errors will be fixed correctly.

Jan 26, 2024 · samantha dabandanMy mature age mother required some urgent plumbing work requiring digging up her front yard with an earthmover and replacing old piping. I happened to be visiting from overseas at the time and found Alex to be not only extremely efficient and communicated effectively with her/us; despite the urgency of the situation we never felt rushed, pressured or uncomfortable. Alex and his team were very friendly and quickly expedited to solve the problem in a professional and very courteous manner. I would without question recommend them for future work.Kevin, Columbia MD
