Jacoby Plumbing Introduce
For us Pennsylvanians, especially those of us living in the historic and vibrant city of York, we understand that a well-maintained home is crucial, and that often means addressing plumbing issues promptly and effectively. From the unsettling sound of a leaky pipe in the middle of the night to the need for a major upgrade like a new water heater or a complete bathroom renovation, these tasks require professional expertise and a reliable hand. That's where Jacoby Plumbing comes in. Located right here in York, PA, Jacoby Plumbing aims to be a go-to resource for homeowners, providing a range of services that extend beyond traditional plumbing to include various home repair solutions.
Jacoby Plumbing understands the diverse needs of homes across Pennsylvania, particularly in areas like York, where properties can range from historic residences with older plumbing systems to modern constructions requiring contemporary solutions. They know that a plumbing issue, whether minor or major, can disrupt daily life and cause considerable stress. Their approach is to offer timely and efficient service, helping local residents restore comfort and functionality to their homes. Their commitment extends to not just fixing immediate problems but also to providing solutions that can enhance the overall quality and safety of your living space.
The feedback from local customers provides valuable insights into Jacoby Plumbing's operations. One customer, thrilled with their service, shared a glowing review: "5 stars for sure!!! Adam’s done some work on my home years ago. He installed a new water heater, and then he sent people to install a new shower/bathtub for me. However this time around, I am blown away at the service I received! I’m selling my house and there were 3 things mentioned in the realtor feedback I wanted to take care of asap. Adam made himself available very quickly and not only handled all 3 items but ended up doing multiple other handyman type jobs around the house and let it be included in original cost!!! He even came back the following day to handle another couple things. Some of the things I’m referring to are the installation of front storm door stopper at the top, and patched the wall in hallway for the railing and then reinforced the railing. He nailed down a step that was bending upwards outside on my deck, fixed a leak from the water heater, painted 2 of my ceilings, fixed the framing on one of the basement steps so it feels safer now. Basically he can do all kinds of jobs. It was such a relief to call 1 person for everything. Very friendly and easy to work with. I’m grateful and recommend Jacoby Plumbing to anyone who needs a plumber." This extensive feedback highlights a broad range of capabilities, rapid response, and a willingness to go above and beyond for the client, encompassing various handyman tasks.
However, another customer provided a contrasting experience, raising serious concerns: "Look at the pictures to see the quality of the workmanship this company produces. Poor workmanship is an understatement and charging $450 an hour for 3 guys to attempt plumbing work is a crime. I called them because I noticed my bathtub drain had rusted. Jacoby Plumbing scheduled the appointment for the next day when they said the whole tub had to be replaced. They scheduled the work for the following day and arrived early morning. They worked all day and said they would be back the next day to repair the hole next to the bathtub. After they left, I went into the bathroom to see the hole in the wall next to the tub and I also discovered they had damaged some of the tiles, used construction adhesive instead of bone-colored caulk as we had agreed in the tile joints, and I also noticed some of the tiles were now cracked. The bathtub faucet jiggles when you touch it and the showerhead sits about a half inch away from the wall. All of these items were on their list for repair. When Adam called to ask about final payment, I told him about the remaining items on the list and asked if he had left his guys to do the work unsupervised because of the poor workmanship. He had no answer. In addition to fixing the hole in the drywall, I explained about the cracked tiles, construction adhesive and the problems with the fixtures. I have never heard from him again about finishing the work so I contacted York county who says you don't need a plumber license to do plumbing work in York, PA so anybody can call themselves a plumber. Buyer beware!" This review indicates significant issues with workmanship, communication, and follow-through, and highlights the importance of checking licensing requirements and thoroughly vetting contractors. It also points out that in York, PA, a specific plumber's license may not be required for general plumbing work, which is important information for consumers.
These divergent experiences underscore the importance for prospective clients to conduct their own thorough research, ask for references, and ensure all agreements regarding scope of work, materials, and payment are clearly documented and understood before any work begins. For us Pennsylvanians, choosing a local service means seeking a partner who is not only accessible but also committed to delivering reliable and high-quality results for our homes.

Jan 26, 2024 · Dj KirbyThey came the next day and got a new top-of-the-line backup pump installed for a great price and in better shape than the day it was installed. Took the time to do it right. Very friendly and professional. The wet dirty floor is from another plumber, which will no longer be an issue for me. Thank You!!!
Feb 19, 2024 · Melvin Blount IIIOnce again Adam Jacoby has helped our church. This is now the 3 rd time we have worked with him. Our well pump went out. We needed it fixed and he fit us in. His work and genuine attitude of helping someone in time of need far exceeds good customer service. He communicated what the problem was and got it done. We will continue to use his services and recommend his professional services. Thanks again Adam.
Jul 22, 2024 · Paul ZanderAdam Jacoby is amazing! He came to my house to help with a septic system back up that flooded my house! It was after hours and he stayed until the job was done! He even was able to get a septic company to come pump out my system right away! Professional and didn't overcharge even though he was at my house at night for three hours. I cannot say enough about this company! I don't know what I would have done if he didn't help me. Highly recommend!!!
