★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I regret not paying attention to the reviews about this company. One of my water heaters had an error, so I called on a Friday to request service. Since I still had hot water, it wasn’t an emergency. The technician arrived Saturday morning and later mentioned he needed a ladder. I offered him three different ladders, but he said he’d rather wait for Fred to bring one. Jokingly, I asked if I’d be charged for the time he spent waiting, and the tech replied that he wasn’t sure how charges worked.Fred arrived an hour later, stormed into my office, and angrily and said, “You absolutely will be charged!” I was caught off guard by his aggression—I was having a good day and had simply asked a question. I told him to calm down and asked him what's his problem just talk to me like a normal person. He snapped back, stating he didn't like the fact I was questioning him. Then he informed me that since it was Saturday it's time in a half and the rate would be $210 an hour, per person. His hostility was unnecessary and weird. I tried to defuse the situation, asking why he was so upset, but he continued to rant about how tight the boiler room was and there was no space to work.Considering he’d done several jobs for me in the past, you’d think he’d would have told his tech to come prepared for the layout. Instead, he walked out, saying he wasn’t doing the job. Well good riddance! I can call someone else who isn't unhinged! I still don’t understand why he was so furious or why he even bothered sending a tech if he didn’t want to do the work.I didn’t have any real prior issues speaking with him over the phone or working with his other technician on three separate occasions but I did notice signs he was disorganized. For example, when I tried for over a month to get a quote for a previous job, I called him three times but never received the quote. Eventually, I hired someone else who got the work done. Then he wanted to know how much the other company charged me for the work. Anyway watch out for this guy, somethings not quite right with him. His reaction didn't make sense to a simple billing question.
Jan 10, 2025 · General Manager CarlyneWhile we have used Coopersburg Plumbing many times over the past 9 years and have always been satisfied with the service, we will never use them again after been charged for a free estimate that was never provided. They continue to invoice, but refuse to respond to the Better Business Bureau. There is a reason this company is NOT accredited. We were experiencing issues with a second floor walk-in shower, but failed to receive an estimate after three attempts fromCoopersburg Plumbing Company. We had opened a hole in our first floor ceiling to gain visibility of the leak and where the water damage was coming from. Each time an employee came, they shifting the responsibility to another arm of the company. The first person who came out was a plumbing employee who stated that the issue was cracked grout on the opposite side of the water damage. He stated that construction would need to look at it to provide an estimate. The second attempt, from construction, the employee stated that, despite widening the hole in the ceiling and showing where the water was coming from during use and water marks indicating where damage had been occuring, that this was a plumbing issue and plumbing would need to address. The third attempt, a different plumbing employee, Mark, incorrectly told us that the threshold to the shower was un-tiled and that it was a construction issue. Even if this were the case, water doesn't leak through grout or untreated drywall without an issue with the shower pan or liner! I believe that they saw the amount of work and inconvenience of attempting to a partial demolition and tile work and decided to abandon the project. At no point did we receive an estimate. At no point did the employees perform ANY work. At no point were these employees in our home from more than 10 minutes. At no point were we advised the appointments were anything but an attempt to draw up an estimate. However, Coopersburg Plumbing Company has charged me. The first invoice was sent 90 days after the lack of estimate. When I called in to the company, I was advised NOT to pay the invoice and that they would look into it. Now, two months later, I received a second invoice, with a late charge! When I called to inquire about this invoice, after I thought this had been resolved this year, the owner, Fred, talked over me, refused to acknowledge the failure of the company to provide an estimate and the frustration of multiple attempts to resolve our leaking shower.A glaring lack of accountability/pass-the-buck mentality from employees and gross disrespect from ownership is how you turn a decades loyal customer into a vehement detractor.
Apr 17, 2024 · Colemge ColemgettWe called because the shower's hot water was not working and had no pressure. It turned out to be something inside of the knob to turn it on. The service guy gave us 2 different options and we went with what best suited us. Let me tell you..... we have not had any issues since. I was wanting to write a review sooner because they were courteous and quick to respond. I waited to write a review to make sure the issue was resolved. This was the beginning of April and we are very happy
May 18, 2022 · Leena MorrisI was referred to Coopersburg Plumbing Company by my oil delivery service. I spoke with a representative of Coopersburg Plumbing Company and scheduled a boiler/furnace cleaning and servicing at 8am first thing the following Wednesday. I informed the representative that I would schedule personal time off so that I could be present during the servicing. For obvious reasons I would like to be present before allowing strangers into my house unsupervised. At 6pm the night before they were supposed to show up, I received a phone call from a different representative of the company. The representative informed me that they would not be able to make the appointment. The representative did not explain as to why they were cancelling an appointment that was scheduled over a week in advance, he simply stated that they would not be showing up and that he would call me the afternoon following the purposed appointment. After close of business the day following the conversation I had with the representative of Coopersburg Plumbing Company, they have still failed to call and reschedule. Nothing aggravates me more than a company who says they will do something and failing to follow up.I welcome a rebuttal from a representative of Coopersburg Plumbing Company, if you feel as though I have mistaken any of the above facts, please comment below and I assure you I will follow up.
Nov 18, 2015 · B WeidWould give them no stars if I could. Service charge was a rip-off. Also, they dropped the ball totally on another issue. There are better places around.
