★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My experience was great except for one big technical problem.I found this company by searching the web. I also see their trucks all of the time so I figured they would be great.I had a problem with my sump pump not working. Now my home is new so before I contact the builder, I always contact a company, first, to make sure that the problem isn't due to neglect on my part.Bass Plumbing was able to come out the same day I called them. The gentleman was very kind and he made sure to take his booties off as he was coming in and out of the house. I really liked that a lot.He was there for about 30-40 minutes and finally came back upstairs to say I was all set. I said "Great! What was the problem?" He said he didn't know but replaced the sump pump. WAIT WHAT!!? I was dumbfounded. I never had any company just replace something without letting me know first and, especially without knowing the cost first. The sump pump was still under the builder's warranty. Again, I only called Bass Plumbing to diagnose the problem and repair it if it were something minor -- not to replace the entire unit.So when I asked what was the cost and he said $400+, I was even more floored that he didn't convey that to me before actually replacing it. So I paid for something that the builder would have taken care of. What if I didn't have the funds to pay for that? Then what?Other than that, I would absolutely contact them again because everything else was great -- hence the reason for three starts instead of one.I sure am learning a lot being a new homeowner. I have learned my lesson and will make sure to say, upfront, that I need to approve any work done that would be above and beyond the cost of any service call fees.

Jul 13, 2018 · Elizabeth BoothWe have used the for over 10 years. They came and installed out hot water heater on out new house after it leak 2 days after we bought it. The came right away and fixed the gas line hookup as it was done in correctly which the home inspector missed. Since then we have used them for many repairs and projects. They even came for an emergency call one day on thanks giving day as our sew line was clogged. They found the problem an were able to fix it in 5 minutes. The did not charge us for the repair just the emergency call. When they replaced our toilet they even clean the bathroom so it was cleaner than when they got here. So far great service.

Jun 22, 2020 · Kristoffer NeuI hired Bass Plumbing to do a few tasks for a bathroom renovation. One job entailed reinstalling my toilet after having the bathroom floor retiled. Their service technician decided it would be appropriate to install my toilet on a flange that was not bolted to the floor in ANY way. I discovered this issue after the toilet starting to leak from too much movement (because it wasn’t bolted to the floor), breaking the wax seal. When I called to complain, they explained that yes, the technician probably should have mentioned (really?!) that the flange wasn’t properly installed, but as flange installation was not on his list of jobs to complete at my house, he bore absolutely no responsibility for the condition of the flange at toilet installation. They would come install the flange properly, but I would need to pay for it. They would reset the toilet again for free. I agreed to those terms as long as it wasn’t going to cost $200 or some other ridiculous amount. Any guesses as to the amount they charged to bolt a new flange to the floor? $175 + tax. After a quick, charged conversation with the office where everyone was annoyed and angry, a $100 charge was agreed upon. Thus far,I can’t find anyone who thinks that a PLUMBER installing a toilet on a flange not bolted to the floor is acceptable, but if you’re that person, then Bass Plumbing will probably be a good fit for all your plumbing needs. If, however, you think there is even a small chance that, like me, your plumbing needs will require someone with initiative, problem solving, or the ability to deviate as needed from a pre-decided task list, keep searching.

Dec 05, 2020 · Tim JBass Plumbing came out to my home in Glenville, NY. They are based in Albany, NY. They installed a loud and abonoxious Sump Pump. The installer didn’t bother to dig a trench to discharge the water outside my home. I had to do that. Plus the pump does not run correctly. I had to use fishing wire and sinkers to make the pump work right. I will never drop them another line. They dropped the ball and charged me $500 dollars for nothing. They know nothing outside of municipal water systems, beware. If you don’t live in they City they are no help. They never even called to see if everything went alright.
