For homeowners in New Jersey, particularly in the Phillipsburg area, dealing with plumbing and heating issues can be a significant source of stress. The search for a reliable, honest, and efficient service provider often leads to exploring various options, including those offered through home warranty companies. Plumb Tech Services, LLC, located in Phillipsburg, NJ, is one such company that has provided services to residents in the region, often through home warranty contracts, for a range of heating and plumbing concerns.
Plumb Tech Services, LLC aims to address various residential plumbing and heating problems. As with any service provider, customer experiences can be varied. Some customers have expressed appreciation for their diligence, communication, and effort in resolving complex issues, particularly with furnace repairs. These positive interactions highlight instances where the company was proactive in contacting the homeowner and dedicated to finding a solution, even when faced with challenging repairs that required multiple visits and part procurement.
However, it is also important for local users to be aware of a contrasting set of experiences. Some reviews indicate significant challenges with communication, scheduling, and perceived reliability, leading to considerable frustration, especially in urgent situations like a lack of water. These diverse accounts underscore the importance of thorough research and considering multiple perspectives when choosing a plumbing and heating service. - Communication (in some instances): In certain cases, customers have praised their proactive communication, with technicians calling ahead of their arrival and keeping customers informed.
- Integrity (in some instances): Some customers have specifically commended their integrity and work ethic, particularly when facing challenging or time-consuming repairs.
- Home Warranty Affiliation: For customers with home warranty plans, they are a contracted provider, which can be a convenient channel for service.
- Areas of Concern / Negative Highlights:

- Scheduling Issues: There are reports of missed appointments, technicians arriving at times outside the agreed-upon window, and a general lack of flexibility or consideration for the customer's availability.
- Customer Service Issues: Some experiences describe very poor customer service, including perceived rudeness, unprofessional behavior, and a lack of accountability from the owner/head technician ("Fritz").
- Negative Online Ratings: Publicly available aggregate ratings on platforms like the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Yelp, and Google reflect a low overall satisfaction score, with the BBB rating specifically mentioned as an "F." It's important to note that the BBB profile indicates "Not BBB Accredited" for the Phillipsburg, NJ location.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came across Plumb Tech through my home owners warranty, in fact they were the second company since the first never even bother to call me back. They are on point! They were very diligent in communicating with me since I was not able to be home. They were kind enough to call me ahead ten or twenty minutes before they came to the house so I could get someone there. They are honest and truly worked hard to get the furnace fixed, coming several times in the intent to repair. But alas the universal part did not work and we had to wait for the part, once they came again the unit was fixed in ten minutes. I highly recommend Plumb Tech Services for their integrity and work ethic. Kudos and Thanks
Oct 30, 2018 · A. LlanosI called American Home Shield because I had no water. A plumbing company was contracted who promptly came out and concluded that my problem was my well pump. American Home Shield then transferred the call to Plumb Tech Services. After 48 hours of not hearing from them I called them and left a message with no response. I then placed another phone call with no response after 24 hours. I contacted American Home Shield who called the head technician/owner named Fritz on his personal cell phone. I then immediately called him and he said his receptionist will call me ASAP. Finally 24 hours later she called and set up the appointment. The appointment was scheduled 2 days later on a Thursday between the hours of 4 pm - 8 pm. That day of the appointment the technician showed up at my house at 12 pm when nobody was home. He stated that they do not work past 4 pm and was unable to wait or come back that day. The receptionist profusely apologized after mentioning she got yelled at and stated it was all her fault. She then could not fit me in until the following week. I said that was not acceptable as I had no water. They then said Fritz would come out on Saturday between 12 pm- 1 pm. On Saturday he did not show up at all. At 1:40 pm I called and he said he would call me back 5 minutes later. 1 hour later I still had not heard from him. I texted him that this was the worst company I have ever dealt with through American Home Shield. He then had the audacity to say that he would call American Home Shield and say that I was not home at the right time since I insulted him and his company.I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. Fritz is a liar and a horrible businessman. If you do not believe me his Better Business Bureau rating is an F. His Yelp rating is 1.5 and his Google rating a 2. If American Home Shield assigns this company please ask for another company or you will regret it. Again, the worse company that I have ever dealt with in my entire life.

Dec 01, 2018 · Beth SulnerDo no use this company. They were assigned through my home warranty company to replace my furnace. They did not apply for permits with the township and reused old out of code parts. The duct and drainage modifications were sloppy. They did not identify that the drainage was incorrect for my unit, as a result, my neighbor downstairs had a flood from the water leaking beneath my new furnace. Now the company will not pick up the phone or take any service requests from my homeowner's insurance to make good on the repairs. Also, they only take payment by cash or check and I know why because I am sure many have disputed charges for bad work in the past.I am going to file a report with the Better Business Bureau against this company.

Mar 26, 2019 · Terry HoffmannHORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Absolutely unprofessional. They were assigned to us through AHS home warranty. The first guy they send out to look at our heating system shows up in sweatpants, sweatshirt and sneakers. He has no paperwork, or identification to show he's with plumb tech. I almost didn't let him in. He has his hands in his pocket the entire time and doesn't actually inspect anything. I complained to AHS. They sent out another tech over a week later. Then we make an appointment with them to have the parts replaced. The window was 9a-12p they call at 1230 to let us no the tech isn't coming. FREAKING RIDICULOUS! We make another appointment for the next Monday and they call again to reschedule. They tried to upsell us to replace our whole heating system for 5k. We said no. The whole point of our home warranty is if it does completely break AHS will replace the whole system. So because Plumb tech wasn't making more money off us the kept jerking us around. STEAR CLEAR OF THEM. If they are assigned to you request another company!

Feb 14, 2018 · Krista AustadIf you could give 0 stars then I would, we got assigned these guys when we lost our heat and hot water a few weeks ago by our home warranty company. They came out to inspect the issue and stated that a burner needed to be replaced, this would take a further week to get the replacement. They came back a week later and replaced the part, hot water and heat was restored for around 3 hours. We got back in contact with the insurance company and they sent another company out, the new company were confused why these guys did what they did when they found the root cause of the issue very quickly which resulted in us being out of pocket substantially and also meant that these guys used up our allowance ( which we have not been able to recover). Their negligence has cost us dearly financially.
