I would give no stars, if possible. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. We paid for the "comfort club", which is a total ripoff. We had a tech come out for our annual "comfort club" evaluation. They cleaned the furnace, but neglected to address a blatantly visible cracked heat exchanger, which necessitated a separate call to them and, of course, another labor charge. Our furnace would malfunction mere weeks later, leaving us without heat during the first snowstorm of the year. We are on day 10 without heat and counting, $500+ later, and awaiting another storm tomorrow. We were told the part needed would arrive this week, but they could not install it until the following week (3 weeks without heat)! We finally said F this, and went with another local company, who came out for free within 12 hours of us calling, and will be installing the part by the end of the week (for 1/3rd of scummy FJ Hess labor costs). Long story short, this company is a scam, will take complete advantage of you, and I recommend you get your HVAC needs addressed elsewhere.

We have used F/J Hess for many years. We used the Budget plan as long as it existed. Now we pre-pay based on the existing cost. We have a contract with a maintenance company that services our furnace and air conditioning unit every year. We have always had good service and the office staff has been very helpful.

Not super impressed. This company is $$$$$. And if they did a quality job I’d be ok with paying a premium. But I find most technicians they send can do basic stuff but when you have an actual issue, call someone else. If you want to pay a 300% markup for a water heater they will absolutely do that but there are better plumbers for better value. If you have actual issues that need diagnostic testing, don’t hire this company.

Be careful with F/J Hess & Sons, they don't care in provide professional services or have happy customers. Their customer service is slow, they don't call when you ask for a call, really unprofessional service.Look one of my experiences with them below (I have another equally bad):1. Two weeks ago I called F/J Hess & Sons because I had very low hot water pressure. According with my plumber the coil of my boiler was clogged and needed to be clean running an acid detergent into the coil for some time.2. The F/J Hess & Soon technician came, but instead to clean the coil, indicated that it will need to be replaced, and someone from main office will call in few days with the cost of the parts and labor. For the visit and time the F/J technician charged me $180 ($135 for the visit plus $45 for his 15 minutes of time).3. I called F/J Hess & Sons couple days later to get the cost of the repair, but no one was available and asked for a supervisor to call me as soon as possible. They never called till today (two weeks later).4. In my desperation called a dealer for my boiler and on the phone he quote me $420 for the part but they didn't have local technicians to do the install, and like my plumber they suggested to pump detergent first into the system to clean it before to do any part replacement. They could charge less for the part but it needed to be buy for a plumber.5. I went to home depot and I bought a pump, couple plastic pipes and the detergent for less than $100 and in less than one hour I unclogged the coil myself. Now the hot water in my house is running better than ever.I just received a call from F/J Hess & Sons to quote me the part that according with them it need to be replaced. They quote in parts and labor more than $1,200. I told him about my experience with them, he didn't care at all.

We purchased a home in the Pine Ridge but are not yet moved in. We are there weekends. We discovered a leak in our plumbing and were referred to Murino Fuels/FJ Hess. It's hard to trust contractors when you're not nearby, but Guy from FJ Hess assessed, repaired the leak quickly, communicating with me via phone, texts, and even a video to show his work. The leak is no more. Thank you Guy!
