Jul 13, 2018 · Cathy FMr. Bowers was hired to install a new water heater for us. While doing so, he detached a drain hose from our water treatment system and never secured the hose again before leaving our home. Later that week, when the water treatment system turned on, the drain hose "kicked" itself out of the drain pipe from the water pressure and began draining water all over our basement! Luckily, we had a guest staying in our basement who came up and told us our basement was full of water, but by the time we got down there and discovered where the water was coming from, there was water covering 2/3 of our basement floor. (I can't imagine how bad it could have been if no one had been down there to discover it as it was occurring!) We placed the hose back in the drain pipe and began the cleanup. At this time, we didn't fully understand what had happened, so we went about our business. However, the following week, the same thing happened again! This is when we realized that Mr. Bowers had removed a tie or fitting of some type to prevent the drain hose from "kicking" up out of the drain pipe. We called Mr. Bowers and told him what had happened and asked him to come back by and look at the issue. He made an appointment to come by, but never showed and never called! Bad business! Although we were easily able to secure the drain hose once we fully understood the issue, you would think Mr. Bowers would be a bit more considerate of his customers when he makes such a stupid mistake to cause us so much trouble! He will certainly be on out list of Never Hire Again!
