Bill's Sewer Services specializes in critical wastewater management solutions, primarily focusing on septic systems and sewer lines. Based on their name and customer reviews, their core offerings likely include a range of services essential for maintaining healthy and compliant septic and sewer infrastructure for residential and commercial properties in Massachusetts:
- Septic System Diagnostics and Repair: Expertly identifying issues within septic systems, such as clogs, blockages, leaks, or component failures, and performing necessary repairs to restore functionality.
- Septic Pumping and Maintenance: Routine pumping of septic tanks to remove accumulated solids, preventing backups and extending the life of the system. This also includes general preventative maintenance.
- Title V Inspections: Conducting official Title V inspections for septic systems, which are required in Massachusetts for property transfers or certain renovations. This involves thorough assessment and documentation.
- Sewer Line Services: Addressing issues within the main sewer lines, including blockages, root intrusions, repairs, and potentially replacements.
- Drain Cleaning: Tackling stubborn clogs in various drains connected to the septic or sewer system, such as those in sinks, toilets, and showers.
- System Installation and Replacement: While not explicitly detailed, a comprehensive sewer service may also offer installation of new septic systems or components, and replacement of old or failing systems.
- Percolation Testing: Potentially offering percolation tests for new septic system designs or alterations, assessing the soil's ability to absorb wastewater.
- Emergency Services: Providing responsive service for urgent septic or sewer backups and failures that require immediate attention to prevent property damage or health hazards.
Bill's Sewer Services exhibits several key features and highlights, as reflected in public customer feedback. These points offer insight into their operational strengths and areas where customers have expressed concerns.
- Professional and Knowledgeable Team: One highly positive review highlights the team's professionalism and knowledge, particularly in quickly diagnosing and explaining septic system issues. This indicates a strong technical understanding and good customer communication skills from some personnel.
- Responsiveness and Efficiency: The positive feedback praises the team for being "incredibly responsive" and quickly getting a septic system "up and running smoothly in no time," suggesting efficiency in their service delivery when service is initiated.
- Fair Pricing: A satisfied customer noted that the pricing for services was "fair," indicating transparency and competitive rates for their septic system work.
- Courteous and Respectful of Property: Technicians are described as "courteous and respectful of my property," which contributes to a positive customer experience and demonstrates care for the client's home environment.
- Commitment to Going Above and Beyond: One review explicitly states that they "truly go above and beyond," suggesting a strong dedication to customer satisfaction in successful service interactions.
- Communication Challenges with Follow-Up (Concern): However, there is a significant concern raised regarding unreturned phone calls and a lack of follow-up on critical paperwork, specifically a Title V inspection. This suggests potential issues with administrative processes and customer communication, particularly post-service.
- Incomplete Paperwork (Concern): A specific complaint points to critical paperwork, a Title V form, not being filed, leading to significant inconvenience and the need for the customer to hire another contractor to redo the work. This is a serious operational flaw impacting compliance and customer trust.
- Unreturned Calls (Concern): Multiple unreturned phone calls regarding the Title V paperwork are a recurring theme in the negative feedback, indicating a breakdown in customer service follow-through.
- Official Complaints Registered: The fact that official complaints were made to the Town of Ashburnham and the Massachusetts DOE highlights the severity of the dissatisfaction regarding the Title V inspection process.

In conclusion, Bill's Sewer Services, located in Ashburnham, MA, presents a mixed picture as a suitable option for locals in Massachusetts requiring specialized septic and sewer system assistance. On one hand, feedback indicates that their on-site service can be highly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient, with technicians adept at diagnosing and resolving immediate septic system issues at fair prices, while also being respectful of property. This suggests that for direct, hands-on septic repair and maintenance, they possess valuable expertise.
However, a significant concern, specifically regarding the handling of critical administrative tasks like Title V inspections and subsequent customer communication, presents a notable drawback. For Massachusetts residents, particularly those undergoing property transactions where Title V compliance is mandatory, the reliability of paperwork submission and follow-up is paramount. While their technical service appears strong in some instances, potential inconsistencies in post-service administrative processes and communication could be a point of consideration. Therefore, while Bill's Sewer Services might be a viable option for immediate septic system troubleshooting and repair, those requiring regulatory compliance or expecting meticulous administrative follow-through may need to inquire thoroughly about their processes or consider alternatives, as highlighted by public feedback. It underscores the importance of clear communication and documented agreements when engaging any service for critical tasks like Title V inspections.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I couldn’t be more impressed with the service from Bill's Sewer Services! From the moment I called, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything clearly, and had my septic system up and running smoothly in no time. The pricing was fair, and the technicians were courteous and respectful of my property. It’s rare to find a company that combines great customer service with such expertise. Highly recommend Bill’s Septic to anyone in need of septic services – they truly go above and beyond!
Sep 20, 2024 · VipLiveAlerts-ProI hired Bill’s sewer Services (Kevin Lashua) to do my Title V and was very dissatisfied with his/their work because they never filled the paperwork. I called and called wondering where my Title V was but he would not return my phone calls. And so after numerous never returned phone calls and waiting 2 1/2 months I hired Dave Perry Construction also in Ashburnham. He did have to redo the inspection but was so helpful and curious and got my Title V filled and gave me a copy the very next day. Thanks to Dave Perry I am so grateful for a job well done and totally satisfied. I would NEVER recommend Bill’s Septic Service to anyone needing a Title V septic inspection. I have made a complaint with the Town of Ashburnham and the Massachusetts DOE.
Oct 24, 2024 · Susan CardaciKevin from Bill's Sewer service did a great job. He found and drew a map of my septic tank cover relative to fixed positions on my home. He carefully filled back the holes he dug and took it upon himself to neatly mark the cover with by seating flush with the lawn, some spare paving bricks I had under my deck. He not only had the shortest wait time for an appointment but he also his fee was $75 less than the next lowest bid. If you are looking for reliable, excellent quality work with quick turn around and the best price. Give them a call.
Oct 30, 2014 · Michelle BlanchetteI spoke to Kevin a couple weeks prior to inspection. He quoted me a price and he had an electronic device to help find the d box. (I knew nothing about septic systems) he said it would take about a total of an hour and possibly an extra hour. He came out, dug about 8 holes In my yard, couldn't find it because "his device was broken". He was here hours, the town came and found the d box measuring in about 5 minutes. He tried charging me $700 more due to labor. That is not something that was ever discussed. He seemed like a nice guy and I trusted him. We ended up negotiating a lower price and I paid him. Now he says he will "try to get me the report before my closing date " which is nearly 4 weeks away. Do not use this company. He is rude and I have him on camera screaming and swearing. My kids were terrified of his behavior.
Nov 21, 2021 · Tiffany SchinasBill's is top notch. Couldn't say enough kind words. On a Sunday we had a back up - what a mess! We called him and at first he wasn't able to help, but gave us a referral. Then a few hours later he called to see how things were going, the referral hadn't showed up yet. He came by, showed us where the lid was (he found this on the first try in a snow packed yard), fixed the issue and came back the next day to empty the tank. The Sunday rate was far below what ANYONE else was charging as we had called a few places. Absolutely an amazing person and business.
